Viking Pools on Man Caves

Viking Pools has teamed up with DIY Network once again to help create a one-of-a-kind backyard, complete with a Viking Pool.

This time around we decided to lend our help to Bernard Gesuelli, a police office in New Jersey, on the hit TV show “Man Caves.”

Because DIY Network understands there needs to be a special getaway for the man of the house they rounded up licensed contractor Jason Cameron and former NFL star Tony “The Goose” Siragusa to offer ideas for the perfect Man Caves.

Bernard Gesuelli’s wife and daughter have taken over his home and have only left him with a pitiful backyard. With the help of DIY’s Man Caves, Viking Pools, and many other contributor Bernard is about to get the man cave of his dreams. His man cave is inspired by his love for beer and his collection of beer taps.  

Ralph Eibert and his team from Pure Quality Pools of Ringwood, NJ, Viking Pools Rep Dave Thopmorton, Marketing Director Stacy Nelson, and Marketing Assistant Tammy Wilson were on the set to oversee the installation of a Viking Bahamas. The Bahamas was installed with Persian Diamond Series finish, perimeter tile AZ-603 Barley with corresponding diamond inlay tile on the steps and seats from National Pool Tile, fiber optic lighting from Fiberstars, and an automatic safety cover from Coverstar.

There were many obstacles to overcome during this installation. The houses in Bernard’s neighborhood were so close together that the crane could not fit between them to carry the pool to the backyard for installation. With the help of a few men they were able to carry the pool by hand, on its side, to the backyard and in place for installation.

Bernard’s love of beer and beer taps lead to the creation of a one-of-a-kind fountain that flows into the pool made from his collection of beer taps.

This Friday, February the 10^th, 2012 at 9PM EST will be the premiere of “Man Cave -Beer Garden Cave.”  You can also catch the full episode again at 12AM EST on February 10^th, 9:30PM & 12:30AM EST on February 17^th, 2:30PM ESP on March 4^th, and 2:30PM EST on March 23^rd.
